NET 11: Advanced Skills in Internet Use

Module Five

Reflections:

Now it is time to review what I have done over the semester, it is very clear that I have learned lots of thing from this unit; I have improved my skills on using internet. To be honest, at the beginning I’m not expect too much from this unit, because I thought I’m quite familiar with internet, I don’t need to learn how to use internet, actually I was wrong. I have been using internet for almost eight years, everyday I use internet for checking email, chatting with my friends, looking some news and downloading movies and music, but I have never thought how the internet worked. I’m only a simple internet user, but now I can say I’m an advanced internet user. Reflecting on this unit, it seems apparent that all the tasks I have done over the semester, it is based on the conceptual understanding. Obviously understanding of concepts is crucial to becoming and advanced internet user. Conceptual understanding enables us to not just do a task, but also to understand what is happening. These concepts will help us not only when the problems arise, but also give us confidence to think critically about it and its related technologies.
